Blue Birds and Rambeling

I'm working on a book right now about a fifteen year old girl who gets sent to an orphanage. It's been a lot of fun. The reason I bring this up (well, actually, there is no reason, except that this is a place for be to babble) is that there is a scene in it that takes place in a malt shop. Actually, there are several scenes that take place there, as that's kind of the "teenage hang out" for the orphanage kids. I want this to be a place where deep discussions can happen, and the world can seem simple -- at one point, near the end, the heroine says that "milkshakes can solve all the world's problems, if only for a minute". So I need some help with design. I'm thinking something warm, with lots of wood and mirrors. But, then, I've also considered going the more comfortable, old-fashioned look with tile floors, if you know what I mean. It MUST have a bar. I've been considering doing something like the Blue Bird Cafe in Logan, except without the resteraunt. Do you guys have any input? (Why do I even ask? Ginny's ALWAYS got input ☺)

That resteraunt always makes me think of vegetarian BlueBirds, which makes me think of cats, and the two to-gether make me think of plums, which, by an odd coinsidence, makes me think of the colour pink and a spiffy jacket, which makes me think of Lancelot and a hat.... And thinking about things making me think of things makes me think of enchiladas.
I was watching "Word Girl" yesterday, and she was talking about rambeling. I guess I do have a tendancy to do that, but sometimes I just can't help it. It's the creative flow, you know? So, sorry my BLOG has no point what-so-ever, I guess this is all just free-writing.
If I actually have something to say, I'll post that too.

So ... anyone reading anything of interest? I'm reading the Book of Mormon at the moment of going to press, and I really need to finnish (wait, isn't that a language?) before January.

Okay, I'm really getting a headache from staring at a computer screen so long, so I'm going away.

Cheero!

Narrator: So plan number 365 was for Captain Huggy Face to eat the giant statue made of meat?

Word Girl: Yeah. First time we've had to use that one.

I've never been to the Blue Bird Cafe but why can't you do wood, mirrors AND tile flooring? My aunt has this really awesome brick flooring in her house, old fashioned bricks and I can see this really awesome malt shop with gold gilt mirrors, a wooden bar and a brick floor. Like the owner was going to make it some fancy restaurant (the mirrors) and then he died and someone figured they didn't need to spend the money on plush carpet and turned it into a bar instead. And then HE died and some eccentric, malt loving owner took it over after THAT. Way convoluted but hey, it works =>
